A playground activity scheme designed to engage pupils in purposeful physical activity and provide an opportunity to take on a leadership role. The scheme enables access to equipment for independent play as well as some organized games.
Schools involved in the scheme report improved pupil behaviour both at playtime and in proceeding lesson time.
An OSHL club based on developing pupils basic physical abilities such as agility, balance and co-ordination. These fundamental movements underpin all sport specific skills. Developing a solid foundation of fundamental skills will aid the process of acquiring sport specific skills.
A club based on developing performance skills in gymnastics and dance, underpinned by the desire to have fun. Over several weeks pupils develop their skills, led by our Gymnastics and Dance coach, Hannah Gillies, and then taken on by a member of the school staff.
A variety of activities aimed at non participants at secondary school. These include indoor rowing, trampolining, self defense/karate, dance, cheerleading, fitness/aerobics, and fencing.
This has been mainly based around trampolining, and is normally based at the secondary school site. It gives Year 5 & 6 pupils the opportunity to interact with Year 7 pupils at the secondary school, and practice their skills together in a fun environment.
